Swiss-Belhotel expands in Indonesia

-

HONG KONG, 21 June 2018: Swiss-Belhotel International opened a new upscale hotel, last week, on Indonesia’s Bangka Island.

Swiss-Belhotel Pangkalpinang is located in the provincial capital of the Bangka Belitung Islands, which lie just off the east coast of Sumatra.

This new-build hotel features 145 rooms and suites with complimentary Wi-Fi, international plug sockets, laptop-sized safes, mini-bars, kettles and cable TV.

To celebrate the opening the hotel is offering an introductory rate of IDR 599,000 per night for two people sharing a deluxe room. The offer is valid until 10 July.

The hotel’s signature restaurant is the House of Lay, a classical Malayan-style home dating back to 1860 and located directly adjacent to the hotel.

The property is located 5 km from Depati Amir Airport, the main airline gateway to Bangka Island, which offers direct connections to and from Jakarta, Palembang and other Indonesian cities.

Local attractions include the Bangka Botanical Garden, Pemali Hot Springs and a series of stunning sandy beaches, while Chinese temples, fishing villages and a tin mining museum showcase the area’s diverse heritage.

Indonesia is already a key destination for Swiss-Belhotel, with 65 properties currently operating across the country. This nationwide portfolio will increase sharply in the years ahead, with approximately 30 new hotels and resorts in the pipeline.
