Traveport partners with Qantas

SINGAPORE 24 May 2018: Travelport, a global distribution system for travel agents, has signed a multiyear agreement with Qantas Airways.

It includes distribution of the Australian national carrier’s content and integration into Qantas’ recently announced NDC platform, the Qantas Distribution Platform (QDP).

All the airline’s content is available to 65,000 of Travelport connected travel agencies, worldwide, including images of cabins and meals plus the full-fare inventory.

Travel agents will also be able to book ancillary services, or features such as extra legroom seating.

Travelport was the first global distribution system to be granted IATA’s highest certification for its New Distribution Capability (NDC) airline distribution technology.

With this, Travelport is well-positioned to support the Qantas QDP, improving the flexibility of content distribution, as the airline becomes one of the first to deploy NDC content later this year.

Travelport’s chief commercial officer, Stephen Shurrock commented: “Travelport is proud to be a global pioneer of NDC connections with the airline.
