Travellanda hires sales

LONDON, 17 May 2018: Travellanda, a wholesale travel company  headquartered in the UK, has appointed two new sales and business development managers to expand international business.

Carrie Lo Sze Wai will be responsible for growing Travellanda’s business in Asia, mostly in China, while Levin De Melo will cover India, the Middle East, UK, US, Portugal and Brazil.

Both have been set ambitious targets as the company targets to grow its Asia-Pacific sales by 30% from 2017 levels to UKP 15 million.

For other international markets the company targets a 19% increase to UKP 13.3m.

Overall, Travellanda is aiming for 25% year-on-year growth, which would take 2018 revenues to UKP 76.4 million.

Carrie Lo Sze Wai has gained a decade of experience working in the travel industry in Hong Kong in a variety of sales, business development and customer relations positions for Gateway, Pacific Leisure, Miki and most recently JacTravel.

Prior to joining Travellanda, De Melo accumulated over 20 years’ experience working in sales, marketing and general management roles in travel in India and Dubai, most notably for Destinations Unlimited, Sunny Tours, DTTS, Alshamel Holidays and GTA, before moving to London to work for Global DMC.

The company has offices in Bangkok and Istanbul in addition to its home base in London.

Since it was founded in 2010, Travellanda provides competitive wholesale rates on an inventory of over 300,000 hotels worldwide.

Using the Travellanda XML Connectivity, Online Reservation System, or White Label solution, travel agencies, tour operators, B2B online systems and OTA’s have access to a wide range of hotels and apartments from self-catering and one-star accommodation to deluxe five-star properties.
