Swiss-Belhotel footprint grows

JAKARTA, 11 May 2018:  Swiss-Belhotel International has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT Soma Jaya Sakti the owning company of a new hotel in Karimun on Riau Islands.

It will give the hotel company management of a hotel that will be branded Swiss-Belhotel Karimun, Riau Islands.

The MoU signing took place in Jakarta, last April, attended by PT Soma Jaya Sakti executives and senior members of the Swiss-Belhotel group.

Swiss-Belhotel International Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communication – Ms. Linie Cortez Palacio, PT Soma Jaya Sakti Director Mr Franky Yason, Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and President Mr Gavin M. Faull, PT SomaJaya Sakti Commissioner Mr Benny Soetrisno, Swiss-Belhotel International Senior VP of Operations and Development Mr Emmanuel Guillard.

Due to open in 2019, the property will have 134 rooms, a lounge, restaurant, meeting facilities, swimming pool, gym and spa.

Affluent and increasingly popular, Karimun is a free trade zone located southwest of Singapore. The island is a 90-minute transfer from Singapore and 60 minutes from Batam, using ferry services.

It has strong potential to grow its free-trade facilities and develop tourism, having easy access from Singapore and Batam.
