SINGAPORE, 2 March 2018: Sabre technology provider to the global travel industry, recently co-hosted the Sabre & Malaysia Airlines Gala Dinner, to recognise the success of top agents across Malaysia who used Sabre to book travel on the national airline.
Bringing together more than 250 key stakeholders from the industry, the event was also an occasion to honour the long-term partnership between Sabre and Malaysia Airlines.
“From the time when Malaysia Airlines was a founding shareholder of Sabre Travel Network Asia-Pacific (formerly known as Abacus) to today, Malaysia Airlines and Sabre have built a strong, strategic partnership based on a common vision, and by working together to provide the best services to agencies and travellers in a competitive and evolving market,” said Sabre Travel Network senior vice president, airline business, Jorge Vilches. “Sabre and Malaysia Airlines are committed to supporting agencies as they innovate, drive efficiencies and seek new opportunities.”
The gala dinner also marked the culmination of a 10-month agency reward programme that generated business growth for Malaysia Airlines on the Sabre platform.
During the event, Sabre agents with the most ticketed bookings for Malaysia Airlines were awarded prizes, and the top agent received the grand prize; a Nissan Grand Livina.
Additionally, Sabre is pursuing new projects with Malaysia Airlines such as the Malaysia Airlines Government Travel Services (GTS) this year. This new service will accelerate the digitization of the booking experience for government officials travelling on Malaysia Airlines through the Sabre platform.
