Qantas and Emirates extend partnership

-

SYDNEY, 26 March 2018:  Qantas and Emirates won approval for their partnership until 2023 from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC).

The two airlines said that the decision means for customers, the continuation of a joint business, announced in August 2017.

In the pipeline are expanded services, greater schedule choice and increased frequent flyer benefits based on the approval that gives the two airlines another five years.

Qantas International CEO Alison Webster said: “With three options to get to Europe; via Perth, Singapore and Dubai, and greater frequency across the Tasman, the ACCC’s decision allows us to continue to jointly provide the best network for customers travelling between Australia/New Zealand and the UK and Europe.”
