Vietjet upgrades routes to A321s

HANOI, 22 February 2018: Vietjet Air confirmed this week it will expand seat capacity and flights on major international routes during the second quarter of 2018.

Capacity on popular regional routes will increase by upgrading from A320s to the larger A321s.

The airline’s 28 A321 have a seating capacity of 230 compared with 180 on the A320s.

From its hub in Hanoi the airline will serve Singapore and Bangkok daily using the larger A321, effective 24 May. The daily Haiphong-Seoul flight will also be upgraded to A321 21 June.

Also using its A321 aircraft out of its Ho Chi Minh City hub, Vietjet will fly to Bangkok and Singapore daily effective 24 May.

The larger aircraft will be assigned to the  Ho Chi Minh City to Phuket route effective 23 April. The service was launched December last year with four flights weekly. It will increase to five flights 25 March and by 23 April when the A321 joins the route the airline will fly daily.

The Ho Chi Minh City-Singapore daily service will also be upgraded to A321 from 4 May.

A daily service to Kaohsiung will start using A321s, 20 June and on the same day, the airline’s daily Ho Chi Minh City to Taichung service will upgrade to A321s.
