SINGAPORE, 224 January 2018) Raffles Hotel Singapore is due to reopen mid -year once the third phase of an extensive renovation is completed.
It embarked on the restoration programme in February 2017.
The iconic hotel has been closed since 13 December and is scheduled to reopen once the final phase of the restoration is completed later this year possibly by the Fall ( September to October).
Despite disruptions linked to restoration work, the hotel still managed to be recognised as Singapore top hotel in the 2018 TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards for Hotels.
The hotel’s management said it came as a timely nod to the hotel’s legendary service and charming experience.
Now in its 16th year, the annual Travellers’ Choice Award recognises the world’s top properties, based on millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travellers, worldwide.
Of the 4,272 reviews on TripAdvisor, 78% of guests rated Raffles Hotel Singapore as ‘Excellent’. ”
