Kenya open sales for New York flight

NAIROBI, Kenya, 12 January 2018: Kenya Airways launched sales, Thursday, for  nonstop flight from Nairobi to New York due to start 28 October, this year.

Kenya Airways  will become the first airline to offer a nonstop flight between East Africa and the United States of America.

The airline already serves Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and cities in Asia.

The opening of the US destination completes an essential piece for Kenya Airways’ network, cementing its position as one of the leading African carriers.

With over 40 American multinationals located in Nairobi and many more across Africa, daily flights will help to spur business travel and improve trade between America and Africa.

The flight will take 15 hours eastbound and 14 hours westbound, using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with a capacity of 234 passengers. The flight will depart daily from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport hub in Nairobi at 2325 and arrive at JFK airport in New York at 0625 the following day. From New-York it will depart at 1225 and land at JKIA at 1055 the following day.

This convenient schedule will allow connections to and from over 40 African destinations through Kenya Airways hub in Nairobi.
