PHUKET, 17 January 2018: AKARYN Hotel Group has appointed Thomas Koessler as its new cluster resorts manager for two hotels in Phang Nga province on the mainland facing Phuket island.
He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa and akyra Beach Club Phuket.
A native of Austria, Koessler has worked in the hotel industry for more than 22 years in several countries including the UK, UAE, Russia, China, Vietnam and Thailand.
He has worked in Asia since 2015 when he joined the pre-opening and opening team of the Vinpearl Ha Long Bay resort. More recently he moved to Thailand and joined the Centara Hotel Group as resident manager of the group’s Karon beach property on Phuket island.
The two resorts are located on Natai Beach in Phang Nga province, a 40-minute drive from Phuket International Airport.
