Qatar Airways timetable changes

BANGKOK, 18 December 2017: Qatar Airways may increase services to Yangon in March 2018 from five flights weekly to daily, according to advance timetable details posted on Airlineroute.

Three of the services originating in Doha will turnaround in Yangon while the other four services will continue to Chiang Mai in Thailand.

Currently Qatar Airways is flying four weekly nonstop services from Doha to Chiang Mai, using an Airbus A330-200, but by mid April the flights will be routed through Yangon.

It is understood booking volumes would not justify a direct Doha-Chiang Mai flight for the low season months May through to October.

The airline is looking at the possibility of using an A319 on the Yangon-Chiang Mai sector (Bangkok Airways codeshare).

The airline’s Doha – Bangkok’s QR826 will continue to operate with the Dreamliner 787-8, according to the airline’s advance timetable released 14 December.
