SQ plans more flights to Germany

SINGAPORE, 15 November 2017: Singapore Airlines has moved forward its planned increase of services to Düsseldorf, Germany, to late March 2018.

The airline now plans to increase services from three to four weekly flights, 27 March 2018, brought forward from October 2018.

The new service, according to Airlineroute will be a late night departure on Tuesday, arriving in Düsseldorf at 0630 on the following morning.

The service will be a welcome addition for business travellers who are planning short business trips as SQ now provides more flight options within the week.

However, there is also a growing leisure market between Düsseldorf and Singapore and German tour operators can book the service to connect their clients with onward flights to Bali, Indonesia.

Singapore Airlines started its three weekly services to Düsseldorf in July 2016 using its Airbus 350-900 aircraft. The services operate on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It’s the third German city served by SIA, after Frankfurt and Munich.

The lowest roundtrip economy class fare for an April 2018 booking is quoted at SGD1,397, but it could be as high as SGD1,600, depending on the flight dates.
