KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia is adding more flights to destinations in China with start dates this November and early 2018.
The flight increases involve the low-cost AirAsia and its offshoot, AirAsia X, a medium to long-haul version.
By 2 March 2018, AirAsia will add three weekly flights, departing Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, according to the latest timetable information from Airlineroute.
It will increase frequencies from 14 to 17 weekly. Using Airbus A320s on the route the additional flight will depart Kuala Lumpur at 1010 and arrive in Macau at 1400. The return flight will depart Macau at 1430 and arrive at its home-base Kuala Lumpur at 1825.
The other well-established daily flights depart Kuala Lumpur early morning and late afternoon.
According to Airlineroute, AirAsia X will increase frequencies to Xi’An, China, 26 November, this year, from four to daily with departures from Kuala Lumpur at 2315.
On the route to Hangzhou, China, additional services will start 11 January, 2018, increasing from four to six flights weekly with a mix of lunchtime and late night departures from Kuala Lumpur.
