Thai airlines increase flights


BANGKOK, 11 October 2017: Thai Airways International and Thai Smile Airways are taking the lead increasing  flights ahead of the royal cremation ceremony of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej to assist domestic travellers.

Thai Airways International acting president, Usanee Sangsingkeo, said that due to the government’s decision to make 26 October a public holiday, the two airlines would increase flights to facilitate Thai mourners across the country to participate in His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s royal cremation ceremony.

The following additional domestic flights will be scheduled from 23 to 31 October in order to facilitate the increase in passenger travel:


Increases roundtrip flights Bangkok-Phuket at 11 daily, Bangkok-Chiang Mai at five daily. Overall it will offer 144 services and 90,000 seats.

Thai Smile:

Increase roundtrip daily flights Bangkok-Udon Thani at five; Bangkok-Hat Yai at eight, Bangkok-Surat Thani at three, Bangkok-Narathiwat at two. Over the period it will fly 440 services with 72,000 passenger seats.
