Phoenix invests in rural education

PHNOM PENH, 24 October 2017:  Phoenix Voyages is supporting the construction of a new vocational school in  Cambodia’s Kampong Thom province that will provide professional studies in computer science, tourism and agriculture to rural students.

The school project is being funded by donations from the Phoenix Voyages Foundation, a CSR initiative established by the regional tour company.

School children benefit from the the travel firm’s foundation.

When it opens in early 2018, the school will accommodate up to 90 students and provide higher education to students living in a rural communities where excess to vocational studies and professional training for specific job skills are limited.

Phoenix Voyages’ CEO calls it a “sharing and giving” concept that underpins the company’s founding principles.
“We believe it is essential to give back to the local people a part of our profit. Through our foundation, we support social, cultural and environmental projects,” the CEO explained.
