Fun beyond the race track

SINGAPORE, 1 September 2017: Singapore celebrates 10 years of Formula 1 racing with more than 100  lifestyle events, activities and promotions, in 8 to 17 September, on the sidelines of the nighttime grand prix.

Officially known as the Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix it is accompanied by a raft of celebratory events under the banner Grand Prix Season Singapore.

“To commemorate the 10-year milestone,  GPSS stakeholders will deliver a  variety of special experiences and promotions that promise excitement at every turn for persons with different passions,” says Singapore Tourism Board, director sports Jean Ng.

Party goers will be drawn to race-themed entertainment, with perennial favourites such as Amber Lounge, The Original Formula 1 Party, Podium Lounge, Sky Grande Prix and CÉ LA VI and GPSS newcomers like Landmark Circuit and Boudoir Blanc.

For food connoisseurs, Stellar at 1-Altitude and 1919 Waterboat House  will present dining experiences themed around the race weekend. Jazz music lovers will be able to groove to the soothing voice of Singaporean crooner Leandra Lane at the Manhattan GPSS Golden Glamour Jazz Night, a one-night only event at the award-winning Manhattan Bar.

For the first time, local retailer Naiise is partnering bicycle-sharing service oBike for a Design Circuit where cycling enthusiasts  can discover the best of Singapore’s design, lifestyle and heritage products on wheels and through fun-filled activities at various pit stops.

In addition, GP Formula 1 race ticket holders are entitled to discounts of at least 10% for different categories of offerings including attractions, dining, retail and tours.

GPSS 2017’s collection of lifestyle events complements the 2017 Grand Prix F1 race, which remains the only night street race on the  global circuit.

Ticket holders can look forward to in-circuit concert headliners such as 1
