Vietnam promotion travel Australia

HANOI, 17 August 2017: Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and Singapore Airlines embarked on a Vietnam Tourism Roadshow, this week, that travels to key cities in Australia to drum up bookings for Vietnam.

The first event was held in Perth, 15 August, and follows with a presentation in Sydney and closes, 18 August, in Melbourne.

Australian expatriate, Linh Le, is the roadshow’s MC and co-host leading the delegation.

He is also managing director of Asia DMC, an Asian-wide tour company with its head office in Vietnam.

The roadshow will promote Vietnam’s potential as a tourist destination, while highlighting potential products for Australian consumers.

It will also provide an opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to seek cooperation with Australian travel agencies.

During the roadshow representatives of Vietnam tourism will engage in discussions with prominent business leaders to seek opportunities for cooperation amongst tourism operators.

The Australian market has been identified as one of Vietnam’s key tourism markets that has grown considerably to 320,000 tourist visits in 2015.

Through to July, this year, 217,977 Australians visited Vietnam, up 11.4% over the same period last year.

Visits are expected to continue to increase during the coming months as more airline add services to Vietnam, while visa-free facilitation is boosting interest in the country.
