Ugo taps Travelport agents

SINGAPORE 24 August 2017: Travelport has signed off on an interconnect arrangement with Ugo Transfers, a service providing ground transfers.

With this interconnect arrangement, over 68,000 travel agents globally can access and book Ugo ground transport services in over 100 countries.

Agents using Travelport Marketplace can download the UGO application to browse, pre-book and confirm their customers’ ground transport arrangements in advanced.

Bay Travel, one of the largest privately owned travel management companies based in Australia, was one of the first agencies to use the Ugo application.

Bay Travel managing director Alan Wolf commented, “Bay Corporate Travel has been using the services of Ugo Transfers for quite some time. Now that this app is available via Travelport, we find the ease of access to be an additional bonus.”

Ugo Transfers has also recently established a specialised Service Centre, which allows for requests to cater to larger groups and other customised options.

“This Service Centre will add another layer of reassurance and personalized service delivery for our customers,” said Ugo Transfers managing director, Brad Wicks. “We are looking forward to providing more travel agents with a seamless solution to search and book for ground transportation.”

Travelport’s senior director for products and solutions in Asia Pacific, Tony Hopwood, added “Ugo Transfers will provide our agents with more content and booking choices for ground transportation.
