First 7-Eleven in Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY, 12 June 2017: The first 7-Eleven store in Ho Chi Minh City will open 15 June.

Saigon Times media reported the first store will be located on the ground floor of the Saigon Trade Centre building in District 1.

The arrival of 7-Eleven follows the arrival of international fast food outlets a trend that is not always appreciated by tourists who are looking for a different travel experience that the one back home.

Seven System Vietnam JSC is the master franchisee of the 7-Eleven convenience store system in the country. The company signed a franchise agreement with Seven Eleven Ink, a subsidiary in the US of the Japanese owner of 7-Eleven store chain Seven & I Holdings Co., Ltd.

7-Eleven is the third Japanese convenience store brand to be present in Vietnam, along with FamilyMart and Ministop, and Vietnam is the 19th country to have the 7-Eleven store chain.

Seven & I Holdings plans to have 100 stores in three years after entering the Vietnamese market and expand its distribution network to 1,000 stores in the next 10 years.
