Experts speak out at TTM

CHIANG MAI, 12 June 2017: Buyers, sellers and media attending  Thailand Travel Mart Plus n (TTM+), this week, will get a chance to hear the views of well-known experts in community-based tourism, gastronomy, tourism crisis management and e-commerce.

The Tourism Trend Talk Forum  will be held on the show’s opening day, 14 June, 1530 to 1730 at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Entrance is free to all delegates.

The speakers’ line-up is headed by Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sports, who will talk on “Community-based Tourism”.

Other speakers are Mason Florence, chairman, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy on “Gastronomy”, David Beirman, senior lecturer, University of Technology-Sydney, on “Tourism Crisis Management”, and Sarah Mathews May, chairperson, Pacific Asia Travel Association, on “Digital Age: E-Commerce Platform”.

The talks will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session.

Tourism Authority of Thailand governor, Yuthasak Supasorn, said: “The Forum is a value-added component of the TTM+ that is beneficial for buyers and sellers and their potential business. We have received very positive feedback over the years. This year, we have chosen topics of great relevance to the entire travel and tourism industry in Thailand and the GMS region.”
