Rehab at the beach

PHUKET, THAILAND, 26 May 2017: AKARYN Hotel Group’s two Aleenta Resort and Spa properties in Phuket and Hua Hin are among only seven hotels worldwide selected to host a comprehensive holistic recovery programme known as Mastermind 2.0, which includes customised treatments for people with addictions.

Founded by holistic psychotherapist Dirk Stikker and managed by a team of therapists, doctors and nutritionists, the programme is specifically designed to focus on just one individual, one couple or one family at a time, and therefore offers personalised therapies.

Stikker was a senior addictions therapist and deputy coordinator of Family Therapy Team

Company under the National Health Service, UK until 2008.

He founded Mastermind 2.0 in 2015 as an addictions and psychological well being programme and now represented in two resorts in Thailand, Champneys Spa resorts in UK and Marbella Beach resort in Corfu, Greece.

Two Mastermind 2.0  programmes can be booked at Aleenta resorts starting 1 June and are designed for clients seeking to improve wellbeing and to combat addictions.

Each tailor-made recovery schedule combines intensive therapy and counselling sessions with rejuvenating spa treatments and other activities, all resident at Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa or Aleenta Hua Hin Resort & Spa.

“We selected Aleenta Resorts to host Mastermind 2.0 in Thailand because we felt a real synergy with the two beach locations, especially with the brand’s wellness philosophy and personalised service to each individual guest,” said Stikker.

At Aleenta Phuket, the Ayurah Spa & Wellness Centre takes a more medical, results-oriented approach to wellness. In Hua Hin the resort uses home-grown herbs with holistic treatments to offer more of an essential Asian spa experience, noted AKARYN Hotel Group’s managing director and founder, Anchalika Kijkanakorn.
