Jetstar Pacific inks deal with Air France

HO CHI MINH CITY, 15 March 2017: Low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific has officially signed a long-term component support agreement for its fleet of A320s with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) for the provision of aircraft spare parts.

The deal was signed, last week, according to local media that quoted Jetstar Pacific general director, Nguyen Quoc Phuong, saying: “Cooperation will help us make significant improvements in maintenance and on-time performance. Support services will start later this month.”

The airline, whose major shareholders are Vietnam Airlines and Australia’s Qantas Airways, operates a fleet of 14 Airbus A320 jetliners, which is expected to grow to 30 by 2021.

The French aviation group will provide spare parts for Jetstar Pacific’s Airbus A320 aircraft.

Founded in 1991 and trading as Jetstar Pacific Airlines Joint Stock Aviation Company, Jetstar Pacific is a low-cost carrier based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Jetstar Pacific is currently one of Vietnam’s leading low-cost carriers, operating a total of 38 domestic and international routes.

It is part of the Jetstar Group network that flies to more than 80 destinations in 17 countries with 4,000 weekly flights across Jetstar Airways (Australia and New Zealand), Jetstar Japan (Japan), Jetstar Asia (Singapore) and Jetstar Pacific.
