Capella gets its Bangkok break

BANGKOK, 9 March 2017: Bangkok-based international real estate developer, Country Group Development, will bring Capella, a worldwide luxury hotel brands, to the Thai capital.

The hotel is due to open in mid 2018 at a riverside site.

Country Group Development, CEO, Ben Taechaubol and Capella Hotel Group Asia CEO, Nicholas Clayton, attended the first property’s official topping off ceremony 8 March.

Capella Bangkok will be an integral part of the luxury residential and hotel development branded Chao Phraya Estate.

It occupies a 35-2 to 68 rai site (approximately 14.2 acre) on the east bank of the city’s Chao Phraya River.

Capalla has properties in Singapore, Germany, Mexico, the Caribbean and New Zealand.

“We are delighted to announce Capella Bangkok as one of three new properties to be launched in Asia within the next 15 months. Capella Shanghai will open in late Spring 2017, Capella Ubud follows in the Autumn and Capella Bangkok will welcome guests in Summer 2018,” said Clayton in the launch announcement.

Stylish interior spaces will set the scene for the best in bespoke luxury at Capella Bangkok.

The Chao Phraya Estate is Country Group Development’s largest project to date, valued at THB32 billion (USD918 million).

Capella Bangkok will join Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok and Four Seasons Private Residences also being developed on the riverside site.
