Vietnam Airlines adds Australian service

HANOI, 15 February 2017: Vietnam Airlines will launch direct flights between Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital, and Sydney in Australia, starting 28 March.

According to the airline’s statement, it will offer three flights weekly on the route using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

The flight will depart Hanoi at 2355. From Sydney the flight will depart at 1515 (summer time) and 1415 (winter time).

Flight time will be nine hours and 35 minutes.

This is the third direct flight offered by Vietnam Airlines to Australia, in addition to  services from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney and Melbourne, it said.

Australia is among Vietnam’s biggest tourism markets, with 320,678 Australian tourists visiting the country in 2016, up 5.6% from 2015.inside-no-11inside no 1
