NokScoot increases Taipei flights

BANGKOK, 13 January 2017: Low-cost airline, NokScoot, will increase flights from four to five weekly on the Bangkok – Taipei Taoyuan route for travel February and March this year.

According to the airline, the additional flight will operate on Saturdays during 18 February to 25 March, using a Boeing 777.

The service is expected to offer more convenience for passengers and meet  travel demand between Bangkok (Don Mueang Airport) and Taipei in the holiday season.

inside no 2 Travel from Taiwan to Thailand will increase in late January for the Chinese New Year week (28 January) but the additional NokSccot flight is linked to a visa-free travel concession for Taiwanese who want to visit Thailand. The facility ends at the close of February.

To support the five flights, the budget carrier said that it would offer a special price of NTD1,888 (USD59) for a one-way ticket to encourage more Taiwanese to book.

Thai authorities’ granted visa-free status to Taiwanese citizens for the period of 1 December 2016 to 28 February, 2017.

NokScoot started its Taipei-Bangkok services in October and uses a Boeing 777-200 aircraft, which has a seating capacity of 415, to serve the route.inside-no-21
