Myanmar to host tourism expo

YANGON, 6 January 2017: The first ever International Tourism Expo Myanmar 2017 will be held, 20 to 22 January, at Tatmadaw Exhibition Hall in Yangon to promote tourism products.

Global New Light of Myanmar reported the event, organised by Travel Support Co Ltd under the auspices of the Myanmar Tourism Federation, aims to support the international tourism service industry and local tourism enterprises.

The event is the first-ever expo for the travel and tourism industry. It will feature 124 booths from hotels, travel agencies, airlines, insurance companies and other agencies related to tourism.

inside no 4Travel Support Co Ltd director, U Nway Moe Aung, was quoted saying the event would promote both outbound and inbound tourism.

He noted that it would encourage cooperation between local travel and tourism companies and international tourism companies, while giving information about travel and tourism products  to consumers.
