SINGAPORE, 13 December 2016: Vietjet has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Air India to start joint services and cooperate in sales distribution.
The MoU was signed in New Delhi, 10 December, by vice president of Vietjet Air, Dinh Viet Phuong and Air India director of commercial, Pankaj Srivastava.
Under the deal, Vietjet and Air India will partner to commence direct flights connecting Vietnam and India, with the first planned route between Ho Chi Minh City and New Delhi.
“We hope that Air India’s aviation experience and capabilities will help Vietjet better access India – a potential market with a population of more than 1.2 billion people. The deal will contribute positively to a higher development and partnership in economy, trade and tourism between the two countries,” said Dinh Viet Phuong.
