China focus for TAT I-San office

BANGKOK, 15 June 2011-Tourism Authority of Thailand’s northeast office released details of a marketing plan to gain more Chinese tourists to Thailand next year.
TAT northeastern region director, Apichart Intrarapongpan, told TTR Weekly, last Friday, that TAT.s northeast office will encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Thailand from Guizhou, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces for golf and Mekong caravan tours in Northeast Thailand.
Thailand is part of the Mekong Region marketed as Six Countries, One River. The region includes two provinces in China, Guangxi and Yunnan, and Thailand’s neigbours – Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Read more
