Bridges block river cruises

BANGKOK, 27 October 2010 –Grand Pearl, a river cruise operator reported, Tuesday it has suspended trips on the Chao Phraya River to Ayutthaya for three days, 27 to 29 October due to the high water level.
According to a Grand Pearl executive, the river boat cannot navigate under bridges on the route due to the high water level. It operates a daily trip to Ayutthaya from the River City Hotel pier to Chong Lom Temple pier in Ayutthaya.
