Work stops play at Bali resorts

BALI, 14 September 2017: Urgent repairs and improvements are underway at two resorts on the popular tourist island; Seminyak Beach Resort and Spa and Keyana Seminkak.

At the Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa, work is underway to repair a damaged seafront retaining wall, stairs to the beach and a temple pavilion.

Damage was caused by exceptionally strong tidal waves, Asian Trails’ latest trade update stated. Read more

THAI suspends ticket change fee

BANGKOK, 8 March 2017: Thai Airways International has cancelled ticket change surcharges due to the likelihood of flight delays at Suvarnabhumi airport.

Maintenance work is now being carried out on the east runway and B1 taxiway, 3 March to 2 May.

THAI announced the end of the cancellation fee only for delayed flights at Bangkok’s main airport. Read more

Prepare for delays at Suvarnabhumi

BANGKOK, 2 March 2017: Airlines will suffer delays at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport’s as maintenance work is being carried out on the east runway and B1 taxiway, 3 March to 2 May.

The airport’s general manager, Sirote Duangratana, said the runway closure is needed for urgent repairs  that will take 60 days to complete.

“A 935-metre section at the north end of the east runway and the entire stretch of the B1 taxiway will be closed,” he said. Read more

Five-hour check in at Colombo

COLOMBO, 11 January 2017: Airlines have advised international passengers departing Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport to check-in five hours prior to their scheduled departure times.

Passengers are facing long queues and delays checking in due to repair work on the airport’s runway, which is limited operational hours for airlines.

Work started 6 January and is due to be completed by 6 April this year. Read more
