HO CHI MINH CITY, 31 May 2012: Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism authorities hope to persuade private investors to develop river tourism, including construction of tourist wharfs.
Earlier this week, Saigon Times quoted HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism deputy director, La Quoc Khanh saying it was a waste to pour money into tourism promotions overseas.
He argued that the city would benefit more from an investment in new tours and attractions instead of launching more tourism promotional campaigns.
