OTA Insight’s innovative rate intelligence platform will help drive Best Western’s revenue strategy by supplying real-time dashboard and benchmarking tools to increase profitability.

Traveliko start-up big on charity

BANGKOK, 5 May 2017: A new online travel portal named traveliko announced its imminent launch, Thursday, during a press conference hosted in Bangkok.

The specially developed web portal was designed from scratch to promote fair, ethical, value-added travel, while helping users make the world a better place.

India’s travel consumers trust Yatra

NEW DELHI, 27 January 2017: Economic Times, one of India’s leading financial publications has ranked Yatra as the most trusted online travel agency for the second year in a row, ahead of all other OTAs operating in India.

In its annual Brand Equity “Most Trusted Brands Survey – 2016” Yatra ranked the 3rd ‘Most Trusted Online Services Brand’ overall, and was the highest ranked online travel services brand.

Economic Times Brand Equity and the research team at Nielsen surveyed 373 brands. The top brands were included based on their sales, retail and media visibility, as well as market and trade feedback. Read more

Thailand plans to compete with OTAs

BANGKOK, 2 June 2016: Plans are unfolding to establish a Thailand-specific tourism gateway website strong in content with its own booking engine and backed by government ministries and travel trade associations.

Speaking at the Association of Thai Travel Agents monthly meeting, Tuesday, Thailand Chamber of Commerce vice president, Kalin Sarasin, claimed that government ministries and tourism organisations were in the process of creating a gateway website to consolidate bookings and travel information.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Tourism Authority of Thailand and related tourism organisations, he claimed. Read more
