SEPANG, 12 September 2017 – AirAsia has unveiled what it calls a Freedom Flyer Programme aimed at making it easier and faster for loyal passengers to earn AirAsia BIG Points.

The overhauled loyalty programme, powered by AirAsia BIG Loyalty, is based on a membership status system determined by how often passengers fly – the more they fly with AirAsia, the faster they will earn BIG Points, regardless of how much they spend on fares.

The four-status system starts with Red status for guests who fly 13 or fewer one-way short-haul flights in the preceding 12 months, through to Gold and Platinum, and all the way up to Black for those who fly 50 or more times with AirAsia. Read more

HK Express travellers earn points with Regal

HONG KONG, 7 September 2017: HK Express travellers can now earn points when they stay at participating  Regal and iclub Hotels

Effective this week, members of reward-U, the airline’s loyalty programme, are entitled to earn 2,000 and 1,000 reward-U points respectively for each eligible stay at participating Regal Hotels and iclub Hotels with specified qualifying room rates.

The partnership brings together a leading Hong Kong hotel group that fields varied portfolio of hotels in China and Hong Kong and a low-cost airline’s loyalty programme to create more incentives for guests. Read more

Marriott merges loyalty programmes

SINGAPORE, 6 June 2017: Marriott International has launched a new Club Marriott, that merges Club Marriott, Eat Drink & More, and Star Privilege into a single paid membership programme in Asia Pacific.

The newly combined Club Marriott will provide members with more choices  whenever they dine out in their hometowns, or visit one of the 200 participating hotels across 15 brands in 13 countries across the region.

Wyndham hits a million members

SHANGHAI, 5 April 2017: Wyndham Hotel Group’s loyalty programme announced, Tuesday, that it has surpassed 50 million members worldwide.

Wyndham Rewards’ milestone member enrolled, last week, at the newly opened Wyndham Grand Xiame.

Wyndham is currently the largest US-based hotel company in China with more than 1,300 hotels and expects to hit more than 2,000 hotels in country by the end of 2019. Read more

DOHA, 3 February 2017: Qatar Airways and AccorHotels, have agreed to offer reciprocal benefits to members across both loyalty programmes.

For the first time, Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can convert their Qmiles into Le Club AccorHotels points for redemption on accommodation at more than 3,400 hotels and resorts across the hotel group’s network.

Le Club AccorHotels loyalty programme members can convert their points to Qatar Airways Privilege Club Qmiles for redemption on flights to the more than 150 places the airline flies. Read more

Pay for a lounge upgrade

DUBAI, UAE, 3 February 2017: Emirates has extended use of its lounges at Dubai International Airport to its loyalty programme members and their guests at a minimal fee regardless of class of travel.

The pay-per-visit access will be available to Emirates Skywards members and their guests travelling on Emirates.

Business Class travellers also have the option to pay an upgrade fee to access the first class lounges. Read more

Loyalty programme members can double points they earn on bookings made through participating IHG hotels, worldwide.

Klook teams up with AirAsia Big

As WeChat Pay app officially launches in Asia,  first in Hong Kong, it has teamed up with Klook to power bookings.
