JNTO hosts travel fair

BANGKOK, 18 August 2011 – Japan National Tourism Organisation Bangkok is boosting efforts to win back travel bookings with a new visit Japan campaign that will encourage more individual travellers to revisit the country.

In Bangkok, the initiative campaign will kick off with a travel agents’ seminar linked to a travel fair, 26 to 28 August, at Hall of Mirror, Siam Paragon.

The travel agency seminar, by invitation only, will focus on presenting ideas to sell individual travel packages rather than group tour business. Read more

BANGKOK, 23 August 2010 –  Japan National Tourism Organisation introduces new tourism products this month including a new branch of AEON Mall in Kyoto,  JR East Pass Special and Narita Sky Access.

AEON Mall opened its new branch in Kyoto located next to the new Miyako Hotel. Travellers visit the new mall by train exiting at the Hachijo-guchi JR Kyoto line station. There are 130 stores in the mall open daily from 1000 to 2100.

JNTO revamps Thai website

BANGKOK, 2 Jul 2010 – Japan National Tourism Organisation, Bangkok Office has revamped its Thai website http://www.yokosojapan.org to emphasise information for individual travellers rather than groups.

According to JNTO Bangkok, the website hits dropped 20% in 2009 to 1,351,177 hits and the agency concluded a remake was in order to focus on individual travellers.
