France taps incentives
Atout France, the government agency that promotes French tourism activities overseas, is upgrading its meetings and incentives profile in the Asean region. “Atout France” means “Advantage France ” in English.
The agency has introduced a micro-site dedicated to events at www.franceguide.com/sg to enable Asian travel trade professionals to capture this particular market segment.

Maison de la France workshops in Southeast Asia lined up in Autumn.
Maison de la France, together with its members and Air France, once again presents the annual South East Asia Workshops for travel trade professionals and media.
The Colours of France 2009, is scheduled for 12-13 October in Singapore, 14 October in Kula Lumpur; 15-16 October in Bangkok and 19 October in Jakarta.
Maison de la France aims to provide an opportunity for outbound travel agents and tour operators in Southeast Asia to meet with exhibitors from France representing various tourism sectors such as accommodation, shopping, transport, regional tourism boards and tourist offices, in order to find out more about their products and services, latest updates and highlights on Destination France.
Maison De La France, Southeast Asia director, Frederic Meyer, said, “One of the highlight this year will be a strong participation from Paris, with support from the Paris Tourist Office.
Last year, Colours of France 2008 gathered more than 300 travel agents in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Jakarta.
