TITF 21 and going strong

BANGKOK, 11 August 2017: The 21st edition of Thai International Travel Fair opened, Thursday, attracting travel consumers who were keen to snatch up tour packages and airline deals, some valid until January next year.

The event will end this Sunday at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.

Thai Travel Agents Association president, Suparerk Soorangura, told TTR Weekly that 30 countries were exhibiting travel products at a show that is considered a reliable barometer of outbound travel trends in Thailand. Read more

Thai travel fair almost sold out

BANGKOK, 23 January 2017: The 20th edition of Thai International Travel Fair will be hosted, 15 to 19 February, at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.

Speaking at the pre-event press conference, last Friday, Thai Travel Agents Association president, Suparerk Soorangura, said the 20th edition of TITF is being is organised to stimulate tourism, both domestic and outbound.

“The fair has been hosted for 14 years and continues to gain good feedback…for this edition we expect the fair will cover 21,000 sqm at the QSNCC halls.” Read more

Laos hosts tourism fair

VIENTIANE, 23 November 2016: Laos will organise an event to promote tourism in Vientiane province, 10 to 16 December, in Thoulakhom district.

Lao News Agency quoted Vientiane provincial governor, Bounsone Phetlavan, saying the festival would promote tourist sites, culture, the livelihood of ethnic minorities in the central province.

The government and private tour operators from Vientiane capital and the provinces of Vientiane, Bolikhamsai, Khammouane, Xaisomboun and Savannakhet will participate in the event. Read more

Travel fair set for Bangkok

BANGKOK, 14 January 2016: The 18th edition of Thai Travel International Fair is scheduled for 17 to 21 February at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.

Speaking at the pre-event press conference, Wednesday, Thai Travel Agents Association president, Suparerk Soorangura, said  the event will also be held outside of Bangkok during the same week in Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, and Phuket to boost tourism across the country.

“The fair is organised to stimulate tourism for both domestic and outbound sectors….travel packages and tourism related products will boost domestic tourism in line with the government policy,” he said. Read more

Fair focuses on Mom’s Day

BANGKOK, 11 August 2015: Tourism Authority of Thailand is promoting indigenously-made products specially designed to be used as gifts for Mother’s Day.

The “Creative Industry: Gifts for Moms” Fair got underway 3 August and runs until 23 August, at the Khlong Padung Krung Kasem Market.

It is being organised to commemorate the 12 August birthday of Her Majesty the Queen, an event which is celebrated annually as National Mother’s Day. Her Majesty will turn 83.

Travel fair packed with bargains

BANGKOK, 21 July 2015: The 17th edition of Thai Travel International Fair is scheduled for 13 to 16 August at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.

Speaking at the pre-event press conference, late last week, Thai Travel Agents Association president, Suparerk Soorangura, said the event should boost tourism for domestic and international markets.

“Travellers can buy quality packages at more than 600 booths for travel during August until the end of this year.”

Grand Sale Fair in Bangkok

BANGKOK, 28 May 2015: Tourism Authority of Thailand will work with NCC Exhibition Organiser to host the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale Fair 2015 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, 1000 to 2000, 11 to 14 June.

Speaking at a pre event press conference, Wednesday, TAT’s Tourism Investment Department executive director, Wiboon Nimitwanich, said the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale Fair 2015 will stimulate domestic tourism and the sale of local products during the rainy season June to August.

“The four-day event is part of Discover Thainess campaign to encourage spending among local and international tourists.”

Malaysia increases central Asia promotions

ALMATY, 23 April 2015: Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz is leading a weeklong sales mission to Almaty, Kazakhstan and Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The visit is also in conjunction with the country’s participation in the Kazakhstan International Travel Fair (KITF) 2015, which is a leading travel and tourism trade exhibition in central Asia.

The sales mission and participation in KITF are in line with Tourism Malaysia’s efforts to raise awareness for Malaysia Year of Festivals (MyFest) 2015.
