THAI signs MoU on engineering skills

TTHAI signs MOU with Office of the Vocational Education Commission.

BANGKOK, 3 October 2017: Thai Airways International and the Office of the Vocational Education Commission recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly build personnel and aircraft engineering skills.

The MoU also  extends to other related fields in aviation that are linked to ensuring compliance with international standards.

Jetstar Pacific inks deal with Air France

HO CHI MINH CITY, 15 March 2017: Low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific has officially signed a long-term component support agreement for its fleet of A320s with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) for the provision of aircraft spare parts.

The deal was signed, last week, according to local media that quoted Jetstar Pacific general director, Nguyen Quoc Phuong, saying: “Cooperation will help us make significant improvements in maintenance and on-time performance. Support services will start later this month.”

The airline, whose major shareholders are Vietnam Airlines and Australia’s Qantas Airways, operates a fleet of 14 Airbus A320 jetliners, which is expected to grow to 30 by 2021. Read more

Air France inks deal with Cambodian airline

PHNOM PENH, 10 March 2017: Cambodia Angkor Air signed, Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance to cover component support and maintenance services for the national flag carrier’s fleet of Airbus A320s.

Khmer Times reported the 12-year agreement includes full component support services, repairs and maintenance, pool access, and the provision of a main base with local services.

Cambodia Angkor Air CEO, Nguyen Tu Huy, was quoted saying Cambodia now has 45 airlines both local and international operating flights to and in Cambodia. Read more
