Lot Polish to fly to Singapore

SINGAPORE, 23 November 2017: Changi Airport Group reported earlier this week LOT Polish Airlines will launch services between Singapore and Warsaw (Poland) 15 May 2018.

LOT Polish Airlines will fly to Changi Airport, three times weekly, when it launches the new service in May, but will increase to four weekly services from July 2018.

It will use a 252-seat Dreamliner B787-8 aircraft in a three-class configuration offering economy, premium economy and business cabins. Read more

Changi registers healthy growth

SINGAPORE, 2 November 2017: Singapore Changi Airport registered 4.93 million passenger movements in September, a 7.5% year-on-year increase.

Aircraft movements rose 4% to 30,490 landings and take-offs.

Passenger traffic for September was boosted by growth across all regions, with traffic to and from South Asia rising 13%, the sixth month of consecutive double-digit growth. Read more

Passenger traffic at Changi rises

SINGAPORE, 22 September 2017: Singapore Changi Airport registered 5.27 million passenger movements in August, a 7.0% year-on-year increase.

There was a 10.7% increase in airfreight throughput to 180,590 tonnes, while aircraft movements rose 4.9% to 31,750 landings and take-offs.

Passenger traffic during August was supported by growth across all regions, with air travel to and from South Asia, Africa and the Americas rising by double digits. Read more

Fly and ferry service at Changi

SINGAPORE, 7 June 2017: Changi Airport Group and Singapore Cruise Centre launched of a new shuttle bus service, last week, to transfer passengers from the airport to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

The move should improve connectivity for passengers who travel to and from Changi Airport and the Riau Islands of Batam and Bintan in Indonesia.

The shuttle buses depart from TMFT, or Terminal 2 at Changi Airport, offering eight return services on weekdays and 10 on weekends. The one-way transfer costs SGD2. Read more

CAG, SIA and STB beef up partnership

SINGAPORE, 19 April 2017: Singapore’s big three, Changi Airport Group, Singapore Airlines and Singapore Tourism Board, have extended their joint partnership for another three years funded by a record SGD33.75 million investment.

The joint promotional fund will be used to sell Singapore as an attractive stopover and twin it with other destinations in the region.(1)

Efforts will focus on promoting Singapore as a stopover or twinning destination to travellers globally. The previous approach targeted just travellers from specific long-haul markets such as the US and Europe. Read more

Cuppas to celebrate success

SINGAPORE, 25 November 2015: Changi Airport recently received its 500th Best Airport award and to celebrate the milestone, it served complimentary cups of  coffee to passengers and airport staff in the mornings of 24 and 25 November.

Changi Airport’s management said it was a gesture to thank both passengers and airport staff for their unwavering support over the years.

Bangkok route top at Changi

SINGAPORE, 29 July 2015: Passenger traffic at Singapore Changi Airport increased 1% in June 2015, with 4.70 million passengers passing through the airport.

This was Changi Airport’s busiest month so far this year. In terms of flight movements, a total of 28,530 aircraft landings and take-offs were recorded during the month, a growth of 1.4% year-on-year.

In the first six months of 2015, Changi Airport managed 26.6 million passengers, an increase of 0.2% compared to the corresponding period in 2014. Aircraft movements totalled 169,890, 1.0% lower than a year before.
