BANGKOK, 20 September 2017: Destination Asia’s founder and CEO, James Reed, assumes the role of executive chairman, while Monique Arnoux joins as the company’s CEO.

Reed formed Destination Asia Group in 1996, and is credited with being one of the early pioneers who developed the lucrative inbound incentives segment in Thailand and neighbouring countries.

He started with a presence in just two countries and 18 staff in 1996, building the firm to what it is today with an Asia-wide network in 11 countries and over 600 staff working in 29 offices. Read more

Munoz not heading for UA chair

NEW YORK, 24 April 2017: United Airlines said Friday it no longer plans to name chief executive Oscar Munoz chairman as it revised its compensation programme following an uproar over its treatment of a passenger.

Munoz and the airline were slammed with heavy criticism after a passenger was violently dragged off a United flight earlier this month in an incident that sparked global outrage.

Under the previous plan, Munoz had been slated to assume the chairman’s role in 2018. But the company amended its contract with Munoz to remove that provision. Read more
