BINTAN ISLAND, Indonesia, 11 October  2017: Sanchaya is lining up festivities for travel planners looking for new venues to  celebrate Christmas and New Year.

Sanchaya is a a short ferry ride from Singapore and a popular venue 20 December to 1 January for exclusive corporate and family celebrations.

It will stage end-of-the festivities including Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve gala dinners, as well as caviar and Champagne evenings, a private philharmonic performance, a croquet afternoon by the ocean with rosé, strawberries and live music. Read more

Cross border hot deals

SINGAPORE, 3 October 2017: Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism is collaborating with several ferry and tourism operators in Batam and Bintan islands to boost travel through promotions.

Foreign visitors, who want to explore Batam via Singapore and Malaysia, can now buy travel packages at concessional prices,  Monday to Thursday.

The ‘hot deals’ offer a ferry return ticket from Singapore to Batam at SGD20 including terminal fees, down from the usual SGD48. Read more

Fly and ferry service at Changi

SINGAPORE, 7 June 2017: Changi Airport Group and Singapore Cruise Centre launched of a new shuttle bus service, last week, to transfer passengers from the airport to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

The move should improve connectivity for passengers who travel to and from Changi Airport and the Riau Islands of Batam and Bintan in Indonesia.

The shuttle buses depart from TMFT, or Terminal 2 at Changi Airport, offering eight return services on weekdays and 10 on weekends. The one-way transfer costs SGD2. Read more

BINTAN: Shanghai couples tie the knot

SINGAPORE, 13 May 2016: Bintan Resorts played host, Wednesday, to a mass wedding for 22 couples from China.

The wedding group of 100 people including 22 Chinese couples, the deputy director of Shanghai Tourism Bureau and media who travelled from Shanghai for the week-long celebration.

Resort operators in Bintan Resorts collaborated with China’s Rose Wedding company, Changi Airport Group, Singapore Airlines, Singapore Alive (JTB company) to organise the event. Read more
