Dalat plans amusement park

LAM DONG, 30 September 2016: Lam Dong People’s Committee has recently received a proposal for an amusement park and adventure sports centre in Dalat, the province’s capital city.

Local media reported that Dalattourist Company is planning to build an amusement park and adventure sports centre in the central highlands resort city of Dalat with an investment of around USD14 million.

The site will be located at the Datanla Waterfall Eco-Tourism Area on  99 ha of land. Construction will begin late this year and be completed by 2020, the report said. Read more

Indian company mulls park project

PHNOM PENH, 8 April 2016: Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism says Pan India Paryatan Pvt Ltd (PIPPL), the owner of Mumbai-based EsselWorld, one of India’s largest amusement parks, has shown interest in developing a theme park in Cambodia.

Tourism Minister, Thong Khon, told the Phnom Penh Post that the Indian company is researching  business opportunities in Cambodia and has requested advice on sourcing a suitable location.

“So far, we recommended that they check for investment possibility in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville,” the minister said. Read more
