Pacific Leisure loses MGTO account

BANGKOK, 11 July 2012: Pacific Leisure Group (Thailand) lost a lucrative contact, 30 June, to represent Macau tourism after 17 years promoting the destination in Thailand.
The travel company released a statement, yesterday, confirming the termination of its status as the Thailand representative for the Macau Government Tourist Office.
The announcement said the company’s contract with the MGTO had expired at the end of June with no sign of contract renewal.
Khiri Travel opens Phuket office

BANGKOK, 4 July, 2012: Khiri Travel has opened an office in Phuket. The move marks a new commitment in southern Thailand for Khiri, which since 1994 has been strong in Bangkok, northern Thailand and the Greater Mekong region.
Mr Marc Ruffet, 28, a Swiss national, has been appointed branch manager to run the Khiri Phuket office, which opened in June in central Phuket near the Heroines’ Monument.
Khiri Travel Thailand General Manager, Andre van der Marck, said the Phuket office will be Khiri’s customer service centre for all of southern Thailand.
