BANGKOK, 8 November 2017: Lufthansa has introduced  its Airbus A380 on daily flights to Bangkok and reintroduced first class for the first time on the Frankfurt-Bangkok route since the 1980s.

The change of gauge gives the airline a 35% increase in seats on the route. Most of the capacity will be filled in the winter season with German tourists fleeing the cold winter for Thailand’s sunny beach resorts. But to build more bookings from Thailand’s resident, the airline will have to raise its game as it faces enormous competition from Emirates and Qatar Airways. Read more
