Bikini crew flies Vietjet balloon

ALBUQUERQUE, USA, 11 October 2017: Well-known for its tours and performances, Vietjet’s famous Bikini inflight attendants flew a hot-air balloon at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta 2017, touted as the largest balloon festival in the world.

Vietjet’s hot-air balloon, 25 metres high and 18 metres diameter, reached heights of 1,000 metres as it drifted aloft over the site of the October festival.

Festival visitors had he opportunity to watch the Vietjet balloon lift off into the sky with the airline’s friendly bikini clad models at the helm. Read more

THAI Launches Airbus A350 XWB on Flights from London to Bangkok.

BANGKOK, 6 October 2017:  Thai Airways International recently introduced the Airbus A350 XWB on its nonstop, double-daily route. Bangkok-London. at a launch event hosted at London’s Heathrow Airport, Terminal 2.

His Excellency Pisanu Suvanajata (second row, seventh from left), Thai Ambassador to the United Kingdom, presided over the event alongside THAI’s general manager, United Kingdom and Ireland, Nonthakorn Trakulpa (second row, sixth from left).

TTHAI signs MOU with Office of the Vocational Education Commission.

BANGKOK, 3 October 2017: Thai Airways International and the Office of the Vocational Education Commission recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to jointly build personnel and aircraft engineering skills.

The MoU also  extends to other related fields in aviation that are linked to ensuring compliance with international standards.

Flying with the RAF’s Red Arrows

DOHA, 2 October 2017:  – Qatar Airways celebrated its 20th anniversary at the weekend as thousands of people watched a Qatar Airways aircraft fly over Doha escorted by the world-famous Red Arrows aerobatic display team.

The event was hosted by the British Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Ajay Sharma, and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker.

The thrilling display took place in the skies above Doha as the Qatar Airways Airbus A350, for which the airline was the global launch customer, flew in formation with the British Royal Air Force’s (RAF) iconic Red Arrows. Read more

Mandarin Oriental renovates London hotel

HONG KONG, 26 September 2017 : Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s European flagship, Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, will embark on the first phase of a restoration that is due to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.

The hotel remains open throughout the renovation.

Hong Kong Airlines flies A350s

BANGKOK, 13 September 2017 – Hong Kong Airlines has taken delivery of its first A350-900, on lease from AerCap, making the carrier the 15th airline to operate the world’s newest twin aisle airliner.

Hong Kong Airlines will acquire 21 Airbus A350 XWB, including 15 purchased directly from Airbus and six on lease from third party lessors.

It has configured its A350-900 with a premium three-class layout with a total of 334 seats, comprising 33 in business class, convertible to fully lie-flat beds, 108 in the new cabin class “economy comfort” and 193 in economy class. Read more
