BRUNEI, 20 November 2014: The official launch of the MV Sentosa ferry cruise was presided over by the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, last week.
This Brunei Bay and Water Village Cruise is run by Sha-Zan Marine Sdn Bhd located at Queen Elizabeth II Jetty, Kampong Dato Gandi.
“Our main aim for MV Sentosa is to provide tourists with a more comfortable and safe option of touring the Brunei River and Kampong Ayer,” said Yang Di Muliakan Pehin Datu Paduka Raja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Shari bin Ahmad, managing director of Sha-zZan Marine Sdn Bhd.
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 17 November 2014: Brunei Department of Civil Aviation has signed a major advisory services contract with aviation consultancy CAA International.
The two-and-a-half year project will see CAAi review Brunei’s current aviation legislation and provide recommendations to transform the aviation regulatory framework into a world-class, ICAO compliant safety and security oversight system.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA), CAAi will deploy a team of UK CAA regulators and subject matter experts to Brunei, to work side-by-side with the DCA.
HO CHI MINH CITY, 30 July 2014: Royal Brunei Airlines plans to resume flights to Ho Chi Minh City with four weekly services starting 17 October this year.
Flights to Ho Chi Minh City were halted in October 2011.
The airline’s deputy chairman, Dermot Mannion, said a commercial team has completed route studies and this will ensure the airline can create a new service that will connect passengers to other flights through its home-base in Brunei.
BRUNEI, 29 JULY 2014: Places of historical or religious significance are the core features of a new app released by Brunei Tourism to make it more convenient for visitors to source accurate information before they travel.
The launch ceremony for the Brunei Islamic Tourism and Grand Mosques for the Ipad was held Monday at the Setia Pahlawan Hall, Ministry of Industry Primary Resources.
The app was officiated by the Honourable Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yahya bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, Minister of Industry and Primary Resources.
BRUNEI, 26 June 2014: A signing ceremony on a tourism satellite account was signe, earlier this week, at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, Brunei Darussalam.
It involves the Ministry of Industry Primary Resources, Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources with DIW Econ (Aphec Independent Economics Consulting).
Tourism Development Department was represented by Dayang Mariani Hj Sabtu, acting director of Tourism Development and DIW Econ by Dr Ferdinand Pavel, director, Aphec Independent Economics Consulting.
