Boutique develops Chiang Mai project

-

BANGKOK, 29 August 2018: Boutique Corporation, a public listed property developer headquartered in Bangkok, has appointed AccorHotels to manage its latest hotel project in Chiang Mai.

The property will be branded Novotel Chiang Mai Nimman Journeyhub according to the group’s announcement.

Already under construction, the 200-room hotel should open during 2019.

Prab Thakral (3rd from right), president and group CEO, Boutique Corporation Public Company Limited, and Accor executives attend management contract signing for the Chiang Mai project.

Nimman is a popular tourist district in Chiang Mai noted for its boutique hotels, restaurants and shopping malls.

Boutique already has a “Journeyhub” branded hotel on Phuket island close to Patong bay.

In 2016, it recruited Hyatt Corporation to manage its “select service” hotel in the centre of Patong beach  branding it Hyatt Place.

Other properties in Boutique’s portfolio linked to the hospitality business include Oakwood Residence Sukhumvit 24 and four Citadines serviced apartments, all located in lanes leading off Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Road.

Founded by Prab Thakral in 2004, as an asset and real estate developer with a business model of “build, operate and sell,” the group is best known for its Citadines and Oakwood projects as well as its community mall Rain Hill all located in Bangkok’s prime tourism golden mile along Sukhumvit Road.

“Chiang Mai is one of Thailand’s top tourist destinations and continues to show an impressive growth in occupancy rates, year-on-year particularly in the trendy Nimman district. By appointing AccorHotels to manage the Novotel in Chiang Mai, we see an excellent opportunity to strengthen our hotel portfolio,” said Thakral at the management contract signing ceremony.
