Vietjet dumps free tickets for Osaka launch

BANGKOK, 6 July 2018:  This is the last day to catch Vietjet Air latest free off-load; 700,000 zero priced tickets to mark the launch of its Hanoi to Osaka service due to start 8 November.

The promotional tickets were available on the airline’s official website: www.vietjetair.com from July 4 with the offer closing this evening 6 July.

The base ticket is free, but passengers need to pay taxes, fees and surcharges.

The free tickets are available on domestic fights and international services to Osaka; Seoul, Busan and Daegu (the Republic of Korea); Hong Kong (China); Kaohsiung, Taipei, Taizhong and Tainan (Taiwan, China); Singapore; Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai (Thailand); Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia); Yangon (Myanmar); and Phnom Penh and Siem Reap (Cambodia) for travel between 14 August  and 31 December (excluding holidays).

The free tickets are also valid for two new services due for launch this year; Nha Trang to Siem Reap 21 September and Hanoi to Osaka 8 November.

Flight time on the Hanoi – Osaka will be around four hours departing from Hanoi 0140 and arriving in Osaka at 0750 (local time). The return flight will be depart at 0920am and arrive in Hanoi at 1305.

Last month, the airline launched a service from Hanoi to Taichung (Taiwan) with five flights per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

With a fleet of over 60 aircraft, the airline says it will offer 120,000 flights and serve over 24.1 million passengers by the end of 2018 on 39 domestic and 61 international routes.
