SINGAPORE, 26 July 2018: Universal Studios Singapore bagged the number one spot among its Asian Amusement Park peers for the fifth year in a row according to the latest ranking released by TripAdvisor.
It beat other regional heavyweights such as Hong Kong Disneyland and Universal Studios, Japan, They came in second and third.
Four of the top 10 amusement parks were in Japan and two in India.
Apart from Singapore’s Universal Studios, an amusement park in Vietnam was listed giving Southeast Asia two parks in the top regional ranking.

In Asia’s top water parks list, Waterbom Bali, Indonesia, led, but Ramayana Water Park Pattaya, Thailand, was in second place.
In fact, Thailand managed to secure three places in the top 10 water parks. Black Mountain Water Park, Hua Hin, gained third place and Cartoon Network Amazone, Pattaya seventh.
Sunway Lagoon, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, was in the fourth spot. Jogja Bay Waterpark, Yogyakarta, Indonesia (5), Caribbean Bay Yongin, South Korea (6), Adventure Cove Waterpark, Singapore (8), Waterbom Jakarta, Indonesia (9) and Wild Wild Wet, Singapore (10).
Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for amusement parks and water parks worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.
