Timeline highlights
Rembrandt Hotel opened 3 July 1993. Renowned architects and interior designers from Hong Kong created a hotel that offered 407 rooms and suites, plus banqueting facilities.

In October of the same year the hotel launched Senor Pico, which was renamed Mexicano in December 2015. It was the first Mexican restaurant in Bangkok with a live band from Cuba.  Today, led by talented Mexican chef, Carlos Bravo, Mexicano is renowned as one of the best Mexican restaurants in Bangkok.

Rembrandt Hotel 25th Anniversary at Rang Mahal restaurant

Also in October 1993, Rembrandt Hotel launched Rang Mahal, the first rooftop and fine dining Indian restaurant. Having garnered more than 50 awards, Rang Mahal welcomes prominent guests from around the world.

In March 1999, Rembrandt Hotel launched Red Pepper, a contemporary Thai cuisine restaurant. At the time it was one of the first Thai fine dining restaurants.

In March 2002,  da Vinci, an Italian restaurant opened. It was later renovated in 2017 and is now a top spot in town for an authentic pizza.

In 2009, the Hotel renovated all of its rooms, suites and public areas, including the addition of a well-equipped gym. Renovations also included refurbishment and reinstallation of environmental friendly equipment focusing on energy savings, with a forecast to reduce energy costs including water, lighting systems, air conditioners and heating by 60%.

In 2011, Sanctuary Spa opened and was later rebranded Kairali. It’s one of the first Ayurveda spas offering hotel guests and Bangkok residents a complete package of healing and relaxation treatments.

2018 – Today, Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok stands as one of the finest, most established hotels on Sukhumvit Road, priding itself on high levels of service and providing guests with a home away from home.
