BANGKOK, 19 June 2018: India’s Jet Airways is tightening rules on cabin baggage, limiting passengers to just one item.
Jet Airways is capping the bag allowance for economy class travellers at one bag classified as hand-baggage not exceeding 15 kg in weight.
In contrast, business class passengers (Jet privilege) can carry two bags, each weighing 15 kg or less.
Even with the restriction the airline is more generous that most airlines that limit cabin bags to 7 kg claiming safety concerns.
Up until Jet Airways’ latest ruling all Indian airlines allowed to two carry-on bags with a maximum weight of 15 kg
The ruling has been applied since 15 June.
